Wednesday’s for Women: Easy DIY HALLOWEEN costumes

Happy Halloween everybody!! Maybe you gals saw Monday’s blog for men, well I decided women sometimes need help too on last minute costume ideas! So here it goes ladies!!

Heather is going as a hot pink loofah for Halloween. No sewing is required and you can head over to our friend Lindsay’s blog at Busy Thoughts for the entire tutorial! It will cost no more than $20 and it’s easy to put together. Heather and her hubby made it into a couple’s costume too!

1. A Loofah

Audrey is my FAVORITE! Dawn a black dress, pearls, big sunglasses and a cute undo and you’re all set to rock this fashionista’s style from Breakfast at Tiffany’s!

2. Audrey Hepburn

Have an old flannel hanging in the back of your closet? Grab that, some boots, and BRAWNY paper towels and you can be the Brawny icon! Talk about creative!

3. Brawny

Drape white tulle (but make sure to secure it so it doesn’t fall off when you’re dancing) for a cute ghost costume! This picture is clearly a more modest version… but the best part of DIY is that you can modify it for your own taste!

4. Ghost

Sneak Peek: Clear Tent Wedding

The Yes Girls were in Santa Fe, NM this past weekend, and I have know doubt the photographer’s photos are going to be stunning but I just had to share the magical clear roof tent we rented for their wedding. It gave the appearance of a starry night and kept guests warm on a crisp Fall night. Magical is the word I keep coming to but that’s exactly what it was. If you are planning your outdoor wedding, clear tents are definitely not cheap but what an ambiance it creates. What do you think of the clear tent and the custom cigar lounge for the groom?

If you or a friend are looking for help with wedding design and wedding planning, contact us at The Yes Girls. Cheers to more stunning weddings arriving in 2013!

Monday’s for Men: Orange & Black Edition!

First of all, GO SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can’t believe they won the World Series again last night… my heart is still racing thinking about that last pitch by Romo! GOT ‘EM LOOKIN! So proud of my boys :)

Now, to the other orange and black… it is finally Halloween Week! So exciting… I love dressing up and coming up with creative ways to show a piece of my personality that I hide for the other 364 days of the year! Plus, who doesn’t want to go to a rockin’ Halloween party?! Here are some cool decoration ideas as well as last minute men’s costume ideas (for those of you who are still struggling with what to wear on Wednesday). Pictures are of course, courtesy of Pinterest.

Dress up in all black, grab a box of cereal and a knife and be a “SERIAL KILLER”! Hilarious and super easy!

Or, if you’re going to be in all black anyway, put on that black suite in the back of your closet and be an MIB agent!

Another option is to just put on your most “rugged” outfit and a cute cardboard sign for a homeless look.

Dallas Marriage Proposal: From our First Date Until Forever…

Last month I had the pleasure of working with this incredible couple. Tim contacted us concerned about making this big moment special enough for his amazing bride. He used something like 20 incredible adjectives to describe his girlfriend in his questionnaire and his love for her was apparent from the beginning! Bethany had pinned pictures of cute elephants all over her Pinterest page so we decided to go with this super cute elephant theme in her favorite colors… plus it was all at the place where they had their first date! SO CUTE! I hope you guys enjoy looking at these great pictures by Derrick Tribbey Photography as much as I did!

CONGRATULATIONS TIM AND BETHANY! You make a fabulous couple and we were honored to help make this day extra special for you!
