Michigan Snowy Gazebo Proposal by The Yes Girls

Jason’s love for Ashley was apparent right from the beginning. He didn’t know how he wanted to “wow” her, but he knew that his proposal needed to be special and unique! Ashley has a son and Jason’s relationship with his soon-to-be-stepson is very important to all three of them, so we definitely wanted to involve him in the proposal moment. So that’s how our idea was started!

Jason surprised Ashley’s with a last minute Christmas gift of a January weekend at a local bed & breakfast in Michigan (little did Ashley know that we were scheming to create one memorable weekend)! The second night of their trip, Jason snuck out of the room while Ashley was getting ready for dinner and left a note that said “meet me in the lobby”. When Ashley walked into the lobby of the hotel she was greeted by a staff member who then escorted her outside to the beautiful, snow covered gazebo on the property! We added in some unique photo-lanterns (glass lanterns that had black and white pictures on the openings) and one lantern that the son held that said “WILL YOU MARRY ME”! Voila, a thoughtful and unique proposal idea that surprised Ashley to the extreme!

The Most Unique Ways to Use Flowers in Your Wedding

In some parts of the U.S., we’ve already passed that winter slump and we’re on our way to warmer, sunnier weather.  I don’t know about you, but one of the things I look forward to most about Spring is all of the new blooms.  Flowers are like magic in the way that they instantly make everything look prettier… perhaps this is why they are so popular when it comes to wedding decor.  While you could just throw a handful of flowers in a vase and call it a centerpiece, there are so many more creative ways to incorporate flowers throughout your wedding, and really create that “wow” factor your guests will talk about for months after your wedding is over.
