2 weeks in a row… and another great find!! I am all about antique engagement rings and even more so, all about Lang Antique & Estate Jewelry! These pieces have so much history and character, that’s one of the main reasons why I LOVE art-deco inspired jewelry so much! The collection is so creative and absolutely romantic!! LOVE!!!
Antique Cushion-Cut Diamond Engagement Ring. A gorgeous, original, antique cushion-cut diamond, weighing 4.10 carats, cut during the 1920s-30s, has found a new home in an elegantly understated mounting, hand-fabricated in 18K yellow gold to meld with the sunshiny tinge of the diamond. The scintillating stone is lent a touch of geometry and added dimension by means of a hexagonal setting adorned with a vertically louvered side gallery. The top half of the fluted ring shank is enlivened with tiny round diamonds. Breathtakingly beautiful in every way.
Art Deco Diamond Solitaire Ring. From a polite distance, this gorgeous, transitional European/round brilliant-cut diamond registers about double the size of its actual 2.24 carats weight. This is due to the striking and ingenious design of the double-tiered hexagonal mounting, crisply die-struck and hand tooled in platinum, which effectively enhances the outside dimensions of the stone. The open work galley and shoulders are beautifully ornamented with neoclassical design motifs leading to a fluted ring shank. A pristine, precious and powerful vintage jewel.
