Nate and Candyl met in Junior High. They have one of the rare love stories where the couple meets in Junior High and has been together ever since! It’s been a long time coming (13 years to be exact) and when it came to their proposal story, Nate wanted nothing more than to make it Candyl’s dream proposal. Since they’ve been in every yearbook together followed by college graduations, his proposal was inspired by a “yearbook of memories”. Hanging white flowers from the trees, lace mason jars, white lanterns, memorabilia from 13 years of dating, and her favorite song “A Thousand Years” (she is a big Twilight fan), made for a picturesque scene. When Candyl arrived in a surprise limo, she had no idea a “yearbook video” would be awaiting her. As they enjoyed their favorite Starbucks beverages and the sounds of an acoustic guitar, Nate brought Candyl’s dreams to life.
Instead of using a stark, manufactured screen we hung a white sheet for the video projection to play into the whimsical, romantic atmosphere. Love love love! Plus, with the dense trees it created enough shade for the video but they had a gorgeous view of the sunset on the ocean directly behind them. Working with Nate on his proposal is why I love my job. Seriously. It is very obvious he is head-over-heels for his junior high sweetheart!
