This is proof that budget-friendly, at home marriage proposals are just as heart-felt and incredible. We had so much fun listening to Matt describing his favorite memories with his gal. He is truly head over heels, in love! Not to mention this idea could be the perfect anniversary idea too!
When Matt’s girlfriend got home from work she was in for a memorable surprise. Matt thoughtfully chose his top 10 favorite memories with his girlfriend (memories that he had photographs from). He enlarged the ten photos, wrote a few words on each picture explaining why it’s one of his favorite memories. The photos were dispersed throughout her house, leading her from one memory (photo) to the next in chronological order. The daisies (her favorite) acted as arrows directing her path from photo to photo.
When she came to the last frame, it was empty (glass included) with just a few words written on a card. It read, “In a moment this will become my favorite memory.” That’s when Matt walked up and held out the open engagement ring box through the empty frame and popped the question! To top it off, next to the frame there were two champagne flutes and a champagne bottle, labeled with their names and the date, for celebrating.
So simple yet personal. Daisies, photos, handwritten notes, and an empty frame made this perfect proposal happen! I hope this encourages you to think thoughtfully even if you’re on a low budget.
Love,
