While agate is a term that not everyone is familiar with, it’s likely that the image would ring a bell.  Agate is a multi-colored, smooth stone filled with a circular band pattern.  Recently, they’ve become popular in jewelry, and even more recently, in weddings.  While they were originally used only as escort or place cards, brides and grooms have gotten very creative with their use of agate and geodes in their weddings.  Now we’re seeing them used as photo props, incorporated into the cake, as table numbers, and even on wedding suite.  They are perfect for portraying a modern, glamorous feel, without giving your decor the tacky “bling” feeling of diamonds or rhinestones.  Wanting to use these gorgeous minerals in your own wedding?  Here are some unique ways agate and geodes are making their way into the wedding scene:
