It’s Friday!! David Yurman has classic and memorable jewelry pieces, but what I fell in love with most recently were his fashion rings! All so fun, unique and young! I’m already picturing what rings would go with my existing wardrobe… I want them ALL! Check out my favorites…
Suspended from a single point, these custom, cushion-cut stones create the ultimate in minimal gem purity.
Cable Coil is formed from a series of concentric, circular loops, characteristic of decorative African art whose elemental motifs informed early 20th Century sculpture. During David Yurman’s apprenticeship with modernist sculptor Jacques Lipchitz, he became fascinated with these simple motifs. This elemental, Aboriginal design is reminiscent of a coiled snake biting its tail and symbolizes man’s connection to the earth and its natural cycles.
A study in light and movement, the Wheaton Collection was originally inspired by the, warm golden hues, fluid rhythm and graceful line of unharvested wheat. Wheaton designs use slender strands of cable to create unique pieces. Wheaton contain a wide array of large, brilliant, center stones that include a full spectrum of color and clarity including black onyx, blue topaz, morganite, citrine, smokey quartz, prasiolite and amethyst, as well as pave centers.
