Are you a glitter fanatic, but don’t know how to incorporate it into your wedding without looking tacky and cheap? You aren’t alone! Glitter can either be your best friend or your worst enemy when it comes to weddings, so it’s hard to know where to draw that line. The first thing to consider is the theme of your wedding. Are you having a luxe, glamorous wedding? Then your wedding could probably handle more glitter than say, a beach themed wedding. In most cases, it’s easier to mix glitter with clean, classic elements rather than natural or rustic elements.
So, where do you go from here? Now that you have more of an idea if glitter will work well with the rest of your decor, it’s time to decide where you want to fit it into your wedding. If you’re looking to make glitter a large focal point, consider using a glittered fabric as a table covering, a photobooth backdrop, or even bridesmaid dresses. For smaller details, glitter can be used on table numbers, cake toppers, and could create quite the exit for the bride and groom (as long as it’s biodegradable). Regardless of how you choose to incorporate glitter into your wedding, stick to only two or three objects to tie the theme together. Any more than that, and your wedding can start to look more like Elle Wood’s sorority house than a classy wedding.
