You can take our word for it – as the original marriage proposal planners we are the experts in proposals! So our lovely President has gathered some tips and trends for this engagement season (which is about to start y’all)!!!
- Incorporate something personal yet unexpected. Framed photos and candles are beautiful touches but have one element that sets your moment apart from another couples’ love story. If she is obsessed with gardening include planter boxes with overflowing greenery with seed markers that have written promises to always help “your love grow”. If she is a lover of Pixar movies display a custom mail box inspired from the movie UP with postcards for future travels together. Incorporate items that speak directly to your relationship.
- Have a keepsake. Have a favorite quote? Song lyric? Nicknames for each other? Have the thoughtful words written in beautiful calligraphy on a wooden sign, window, canvas, wine glasses, etc. where it is something she can keep and potentially hang up forever in your future home. You can have the words “Will You Marry Me?” written elsewhere but as for a sign, your loved one won’t be able to hang that on the wall.
- How to hide the ring. Use a Box Sock – the pocket sock that hides your engagement ring box. Seriously it’s the best thing ever! Gals are more aware and snoopy than ever when it comes to the proposal so to keep your ring secure and the proposal a surprise, you can hide it in the pocket sock verses in your jacket or pant pocket (which she will notice).
- Have a Focal Point. This doesn’t just mean a stunning view but a focal piece that draws her in. A vintage sofa underneath a willow tree, a low table with large palm leaves on the beach, or an archway with hanging memories against a sunset backdrop will make those proposal photos A-MAZ-ING!
- Smaller Ring Boxes. As mentioned, proposers are ditching the bulky box so she doesn’t notice anything suspicious. The Monarch Box or The Mrs Box are great options and also fit perfectly in a Box Sock.
