Sing-Along in The Airport

Sing-Along in The Airport

Amanda and Trey are two peas in a pod. Not only are they engaged but they are also in the same band.  Therefore, when it came time for Trey to pop the question, it was only suiting that he publicly announced, well actually sang, about his love for Amanda. And that’s exactly what he did! Valentine’s day 2009, Trey proposed to her in the Orlando Airport.  His inspiration behind the proposal…her favorite song, “I Say A Little Prayer” from My Best Friend Wedding, while incorporating the actions of Adam Sandler’s public display of love in The Wedding Singer.

Our goal was to time the flow of the proposal perfectly. When Amanda and Trey stepped onto the escalator for baggage claim, Trey whipped out a wireless micphrone and began singing, “From the moment I wake up…I say a little prayer for you…” Of course the mic was just for show, but it definitely got her and the airport crowds attention. As he sang to Amanda, we had a florist pass out red and white roses to strangers that kindly volunteered to walk up to Amanda and hand her the roses during Trey’s song. As a huge bonus and total impromptu, the crowd graciously started singing along with Trey. By the time the song was over, the hopeful crowd anxiously awaited Amanda’s reply, and cheered when she cried, “Yes!” To be in the presence of true love is amazing and that’s exactly what the Orlando Airport experienced that Valentine’s Day.

Love,
