I was one of the first of my girlfriends to say “I do.” The wedding may have passed but romance and anniversaries never go out of style. So if you are like me, and want to celebrate your love in a fresh, romantic way, take a peek at these fun anniversary ideas for him or her.
1. If you can’t get out of town, plan an overnight trip to your favorite nearby hotel. Enjoy the jacuzzi and relaxing in a robe. Just getting out of the house is a big deal sometimes. Arrange for a bouquet of flowers to be delivered to the room that consists of all the flowers that were in her wedding bouquet. Perhaps you could unwrap your wedding champagne flutes for an extra touch of amazingness! Yes, I made that word up. Then, order room service and cuddle up to your own wedding video to top of the evening. There is no better time to watch and relive your vows and that stunning day than on an anniversary!
2. Photos are always the best at telling stories and they never get old. Find one photo from each year you have spent together and write a little recap about that year and what specific thing, place, event, etc. made you fall in love with him/her even more that year. I personally love using heritage makers.
3. Take her to a drive-in theater then out for some dancing! If she appreciates trying new things and loves to goof around, what better way to act like your still young teens, in love, than a good old fashion date? There is a reason why all us girls, feel in love with Noah and Allie (from The Notebook) when they were dancing in the street!
4. I’m a little biased towards this idea (my hubby’s a pilot) but how picturesque would it be to take a flight to a romantic/fun destination just for the day? Literally, you take off in the A.M. for your one day adventure to Napa, Seattle, Portland, Cape Cod, San Diego, etc., wherever you desire and return home by midnight. The spontaneity and excitement of just one day sounds pretty darn amazing. Surprisingly, it isn’t as expensive as one may think to rent a private jet for the day. Rent the plane/pilot for the day, travel to a close destination spot, and you got the perfect anniversary date!
I hope these ideas help or at least inspire you to think of other great anniversary ideas. Last but not least, we would like to congratulate Josh, our winner of the proposal giveaway!
