This week I am going to give you all some insightful tips on ways to save money. I think we can always be improving our skills with money!

1. My roommate and I wanted to make some pillows for our couch. I was going to help her pick out fabric and she was going to sew, since that is her skill and not mine :) We started to look on etsy and she told me to type in “Destash Sale Fabric.” All leftover pieces of fabric people are trying to get rid of is sold here for less money. There are some small pieces and then some selling in a couple yards. Such a great buy! You can pretty much type in destash… any item and see what comes up. Have fun saving money on etsy!

2. Need place settings for rehearsal dinners or a wedding? Why not borrow from family friends and name every table after the special people in your life! Ask for 8 or 10 table settings of their china and create tables and or themes of the tables around the dishes. Best part: it’s free!

3. Costco. I love this place….I really can’t get enough of it. Tip to save money: Pass on catered appetizers and have your friends make them. Buy bulk packs of cheeses, meats, crackers and fruit. They make beautiful appetizers. They also have plenty of finger food you can cook in the oven. Add some bay leaves or flowers and no one will even know. It’s all about presentation anyways!
