Last week was my birthday and as most birthdays go I received a couple of gift cards. I know gift cards and certificates tend to have a bad reputation for being a “thoughtless” gift, but I personally think that if they are for the right place they can be extremely thoughtful and who doesn’t love getting them? I mean, common! But now that my wallet is bulging a little bit I need to go spend these lovely pieces of plastic! So that is the date night idea for this week, gift card spending!

We all have those gift cards that have been in a pile for months (or even years, gasp) so grab your girl and go take care of business! Whether it is to AMC to see a movie (I would recommend Now You See Me, it was crazy!), to dinner at that restaurant down the street, or to Barnes and Nobel or Target (which always seems to be the “go to” gift cards)! You can go grab a $5 movie from Target and cuddle up on the couch! How fun is that! AND BEST OF ALL, IT WAS FREE FOR YOU!
