A few weekends ago, I had the pleasure of assisting Jude in planning his marriage proposal to his beautiful girlfriend (now fiancee) Alexandra. These two are so smitten, and head over heels for each other it made it so easy to plan! In fact, Alexandra actually called and left a message herself thanking us for helping Jude make their engagement everything she always imagined. Hands down, one of my favorite moments since I started this company! So now for the proposal…

His proposal took place at the stunning San Diego Museum of Art and it was the perfect setting for Jude and Alex. Jude explained that he won tickets to the museum and thought it was worth checking out (knowing Alex’s adventuresome-self would be all about it). Simply U Proposals helped Jude keep it a secret by creating a special brochure and contracting the museum, florist, artist and photographer so the proposal went off without a hitch. The brochure consisted of “The 7 Must See Works” in the museum (view here). Alex thought Jude picked it up from the ticket counter but really it was pre-made just for her. There were seven images and descriptions of works of art in the brochure except the last art piece had a description but no image just an icon that stated “No Image Available.”

They walked around the museum looking for the must sees when Jude conveniently excused himself. He quickly ascended up the staircase where the seventh work of art was on display. He called Alex explaining he found the last art piece and to come meet him. Jude had a painting made of him proposing to Alex on the exact staircase they stood looking at the painting. It didn’t take Alex long to realize the brochure was describing a love story painting of them and what was coming next. SHE SAID YES and the spectators that had gathered all cheered! Jude had one more surprise up his sleeve; because they were on vacation he had all her family and friends write letters of congratulations to Alex so they could be there in spirit!
