Today I am going to share a DIY Project with you that includes how my friends tricked me into making my own “She Said Yes” sign! Still thinking I am planning a proposal for a client, Heather asked me to make a “She Said Yes” sign like I did for my brother when he proposed. I came up with the idea, and with the help of my Mom created the sign.

I found an empty frame and sprayed painted it white. After that I went to a scrapbook store and picked out pattern and plain paper in purple and yellow (Some of Ali’s who was the made up girlfriend/my favorite colors). Then we decided which letters we wanted cut out of which paper. Note: We got more letters than we needed out of each color so we could mix and match and decide which looked best.

Once I had all the letters assembled, I punched two holes on each side of the letter and strung ribbon through. After they were all strung, I positioned them on the frame and simply taped it on the back. I used painters tape which has held up fine! Once it is all taped and centered, the sign is complete and ready to be used for an engagement shoot, party or to have in your room next to pictures of you and your fiancé!

Stay tuned to see me and Tommy holding the sign I made for myself!
