We have all seen it before, when a couple does a “private skate” at a public ice rink and proposes during a very cheesy and mushy song. Well when Stephen wanted to propose to his leading lady, Lisa-Marie, he wanted to do something similar but yet worlds more romantic! So we rented out the Bryant Park Ice Rink in New York City for the actual proposal, but then we also rented the restaurant next to the ice rink for a personalized surprise after the big moment! Stephen and Lisa-Marie were on vacation from Australia in Manhattan with her brother and sister-in-law. So when they arrived at the ice rink, Lisa-Marie was super bummed since the minute they got on the ice there was announcement that everyone must exit for the hourly ice cleaning. Just then Stephen “dropped his glove” and they were awkwardly the last people to begin their exit… but instead of getting off the ice their couple song, Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley, began to play and they had a solo skate around the ice! After she said yes (to the tune of thousands of strangers clapping and cheering) the two couples went inside to “warm up and call home”. Only then did Lisa-Marie realize the whole place was covered in photos of the two of them and her favorite flowers! (My personal favorite picture is when she is crying on the phone to her mom… so so sweet!)
