Hope y’all have your box of tissues handy because this one is a tear-jerker! Brenly hired The Yes Girls to create his personalized proposal in Dallas about a month ago. Immediately upon reading his questionnaire we knew we needed to incorporate Shaina’s mother some-how into the proposal. You see, Shaina’s mom passed away a few years ago and has always since wanted to “fill her mother’s shoes”. Brenly knew that it was really important for Shaina to feel that her mom is proud of all that she has accomplished – including getting engaged and starting a wonderful life together! The idea was sparked and we began to create the footsteps of Shaina’s mom, for her to follow in. Each step had a personalized note with it explaining a different quality or characteristic that Shaina exemplifies of her mother and the last was placed on the park bench with a few of her favorite things (like sweet tea, cheesecake, and a bible verse). Add some adorable-crying-cousins (that hid in the bushes until after the proposal – I love the look on Shaina’s face when she sees her family hiding after she says yes!) and a DIY- lace bulletin board and you’ve got yourself one beautiful vintage marriage proposal!
Congratulations Brenly and Shaina and thank you for letting us be a part of this special memory.
