Jessica’s favorite book is Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell and Dustin wanted to re-create a moment from the movie where Rhett proposes to Scarlett. The couple came to Dallas, Texas under the pretext that they would celebrate Jessica’s birthday, but instead the limo brought them from their hotel to Griggs Park! When they arrived, Dustin led Jessica over to the gazebo to “stumble upon” a true plantation vibe table! Dark green shutters, tons of greenery, sweet tea, apple cobbler (her favorite dessert), and a Gone With The Wind book bookmarked to the proposal scene with a calligraphy magnolia leaf! Truly a stunning set up!! Oh, and the day before the proposal WFAA (Dallas’ ABC affiliate) called and asked if they could film it – dream come true for Jessica.
