Mondays for Men: Acts of Service

Mondays for Men: Acts of Service

And so begins another wonderful week, gentlemen! Today we are looking at the love language of Acts of Service. You know that pesky “honey do list” that’s hanging around, or the request for you to do the dishes all those lovely things are what we like to call Acts of Service! So here are a couple of easy things to do to score some extra points with your leading lady:

  • Take out the trash! When you see the trash or recycling bin is starting to get a little full why don’t you go ahead and take that out without waiting to be asked. Simple, yet talk about bonus points!
  • Do the dishes! Even if you don’t hand wash all the pots and pans, just rinse the dishes that are in the sink and put them in the dish washer. Or even better, you can empty the dishwasher once they are clean!
  • Yard work! Mowing the lawn might be your usual weekend list, but maybe you can plant a new bush, or trim the tree.
  • Handiman! You and I both know that there is a list like “fix the leaky sink” or “fix the running toilet”. While you might think that you’ll get to it eventually, if you surprise her and do it earlier than expected you’ll definitely score!  love language

While I was in school at Saint Mary’s College of CA, I had the pleasure of being introduced to The Yes Girls Events & I immediately knew it was something I wanted to be a part of! I loved that they were helping men bring their special question to life. After graduation, I finally had the opportunity to become a “Yes Girl”.
