Ravi and Jackie knew on their first date it would be their very last. They had an atypical first date; the couple went to a thrift store, and allotted one another $10 to find an outfit for each other to wear that evening. Ravi bought Jackie a crazy head piece and Jackie found interesting rubber snakes to embellish Ravi’s neck. They followed that thrift store shopping spree with a rock concert and the movie, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. He explained, “You can only imagine the looks we got!” Ravi wanted his proposal to be special but nothing over-the-top because that’s what Jackie would love.

Ravi proposed to Jackie at the gorgeous Rosewood Mansion in Dallas Texas. He treated her to a five-course meal designed to her taste. We assured Ravi there was a better way to pop the question than to drop it in her champagne glass, so with a little team effort he agreed that bringing in a big screen, watching a movie during their romantic meal, and ending it with a little surprise would do the trick. When they walked into the Chef’s Table, a private room adorned with flowers and petals, the helpful waiter poured their wine and started up “their” movie, Scott Pilgrim. They enjoyed their five-course meal while being entertained by something they love. When the show was over, the waiter brought in one last course, which was a memorabilia basket with items from their first date. He explained he knew after she was willing to wear an outfit chosen by him at the thrift store, he should marry her quick! Congrats to Ravi and Jackie! There is nothing quite like your last first date!
