Set against grand architecture, this San Diego resort proposal at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar blended timeless romance with a clean, elevated design. Luke and Taylor’s moment unfolded beneath the iconic archways as the sun began to set.
A San Diego Resort Proposal Beneath the Archways
The Fairmont Grand Del Mar is known for its grand archways and hillside views. Because the architecture is so striking, we kept the design soft, simple and timeless.
The Set Up
First, we chose our Standard Proposal Package and built a candlelit setup framed by soft white florals and layered greenery.
Then, we added glowing ivory pillar candles along the steps beneath the archways. We also set out white roses and coupe glasses for a toast.
The Proposal
As the sun set over the hills, he got down on one knee in the center of the floral-lined steps.
Even in such a dramatic setting, the moment felt intimate. She said yes, and the celebration began right away!
Afterwards, they enjoyed champagne and portraits around the property.
In the end, effortless California elegance was woven into every detail of this San Diego resort proposal.
