Somewhere between New York City and Boston there is an quaint town called Glastonbury in Connecticut. Armin and Natalie conquered long distance but before Natalie embarked on a new journey and life in Boston, Armin fulfilled a promise to Natalie (even if she did think it was only a joke at the time). She would tease him about getting engaged in CT since it was halfway between the two of them and during her drive it was always the point she wished she could turn back around and go back to him! Now is the time to cue in the Connecticut River Valley Inn a charming B&B that looks straight out of a movie like White Christmas. Natalie thought they were just going to the Inn celebrate her moving over Valentine’s Day weekend but she left with a stunning yellow diamond on her finger!

Thanks to husband and wife team from Kris Rae Photography, the photos illustrate their beautiful engagement story. The photos speak to the couple’s joyful emotion but I’ll give a quick recap of the details leading up to that moment. Natalie absolutely loves gardens, meaningful words from her man and their U2 song. On Friday, February 10th Armin and Natalie checked into the B&B, Armin snuck downstairs to “get the camera”, Natalie received a knock on her door to find a pink rose attached to a vintage key and tea stained tag instructing her to find an arbor. As Natalie finds the arbor by the B&B, she discovers her own secret garden and a guitarist singing “their” U2 song. Waiting for her was a personalized garden sign that said, “Armin and Natalie’s Garden: A Love That Never Stops Growing”, a floral chandelier, and five gift boxes numbered 1-5; she opens the gifts one by one finding a key and a note with a special moment in their relationship (i.e. “The first time I spoke to you, you unlocked feelings I never knew I could feel.- Armin”). Holding onto her last key, Armin came around the arbor and proposed!

A huge thank you to all the vendors involved with this breathtaking proposal! Photography by Kris Rae Photography, Florals by Paul David from The Flower District, Music by Corey Balsamo, Patricia from Connecticut River Valley Inn, Marriage Proposal Planning by The Yes Girls.
