This week with how much Kim Kardashian’s divorce is all over the news, so I am saying Yes to preparing and always working to improve marriage even after the wedding day!
As the engagement process unfolds a lot of time can go into the wedding planning. This is understandable, but I also believe your marriage deserves just as much preparation. The wedding is a day a couple never wants to forget, but it is your marriage that will last way longer than one day. Whether you decide to go to pre-marital counseling, read a book, or get advice from married couples, putting time into any of these can help make a difference. I know it easy to think you only do the items listed above if your relationship is not going well, but why not have tools at your fingertips to be ready to fight through the times when it does get hard?!
Below are a few reads that I recommend before marriage and during! Some are faith focused and others are not. There is a book for everyone. Let’s all use the tools around us, and start making marriages be the best they can be!
