It’s officially September, and with Fall weather right around the corner, our Summer wardrobe just isn’t going to cut it anymore. It’s time to say goodbye to bright colors and skin-baring ensembles, and hello to deeper colors and layered looks. Opt for longer pieces -either dresses, skirts, or shirt sleeves- while pairing them with a short counter-piece on top or bottom. For example, if you go with a knee-length skirt, wear a short-sleeved top to balance the look.
Jewel tones are also a great way to spice up a Fall outfit. While darker colors work best in the colder months, there’s no reason to limit your wardrobe strictly to neutrals. Colors like Emerald, Ruby, Amethyst (rich purple), Sapphire (rich blue), and Plum (all pictured below), are not only super-flattering, but also guarantee you’ll be the best dressed woman in the room…after the bride of course!
