This week I am going to give you some tips on how to save money on your flowers and bouquets!
1. I was driving by Home Depot today and I noticed rose bushes. I thought to myself, if I bought a few bushes, planted them, perhaps I could have beautiful flowers in time for my wedding day! Or Option two: find someone who has an amazing rose garden and ask if you can use some of their roses for bouquets!
2. Flower Marts! Don’t be intimidated by these! There is one in LA and San Diego. The one in LA is large and can be overwhelming so I recommend bringing a friend who knows a good amount about flowers. Instead of hiring a florist to do all your flowers, just have s/he do your centerpieces and ask a friend or your bridesmaids to put together the bouquets. There are many tutorials online to watch on how to! Also I was in a wedding in Seattle and the morning of a friend’s mom went to the local marketplace downtown and got us bouquets of beautiful fresh flowers! This is also a budget-friendly option.
3. Bundles of lavendar or baby’s breath. One of our good friends is having us hold lavender bouquets. There is a huge lavender field close to where they are getting married and she picking bushels right before the wedding. To add some accents to the lavender we suggest babies breath and greenery which are also cost effective!
