It’s no secret we are all about amazing marriage proposals around here and with more guys saying “yes” to personalized proposals, 2012 seems to be an awesome year for certain proposal trends that we are hoping turn into traditions! To help some of these proposal trends make a permanent residence, we thought we would share them on during our new Trending Tuesdays. Words may not be your thing boys but when it comes to popping the question…they matter!

Trending Tuesday: Words Matter in  Marriage Proposal

Men are understanding that the written word has power and that thoughtful words are a declaration to their girlfriend’s heart. When it comes to marriage proposals, women melt when their future fiance uses special written touches that are applicable to their relationship. A man proposing may incorporate a handwritten letter of “couple memories” or “why he loves her”. As a variation of this, he could use a “Love you…” box which can contain several notes of different times spent together and why she is loved. The intention of the box would be to add additional notes/memories through the years. It’s the perfect keepsake for their great grandchildren to read.

Another current “writing” trend for proposals is to write special verses, sayings or words on vintage signs, jars or stones displayed at the Proposal spot creating a personal ambiance. In addition, one can use a personalized wine label on a favorite wine with their names and their proposal date…these written words document the day as well as show that the man put thought into their moment.
