This Waldorf Astoria gazebo proposal at Monarch Beach in Dana Point was the definition of timeless elegance. With over 300 glowing candles, lush red florals and a live violinist, Steve and Hannah’s evening felt straight out of a modern fairytale.

A Waldorf Astoria Gazebo Proposal in Red

Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach is one of our most-booked venues, and for good reason. Its white marble gazebo makes a classic frame, so we built this design around deep, romantic color.

The Set Up

First, we surrounded the gazebo with over 300 glowing candles. Then, we added lush red florals in deep red and burgundy tones, plus a path of scattered red rose petals.

In addition, champagne and glasses waited among the blooms. As a result, the space felt passionate and sophisticated at the same time.

The Proposal

While a live violinist played, he dropped to one knee inside the candlelit gazebo. She said “yes,” and he slipped the ring onto her finger.

Afterwards, the couple shared an unforgettable embrace under the evening sky and toasted with champagne over a bed of red rose petals.
