We (The Yes Girls) had a lot of fun creating this marriage proposal. This couple loves the country and everything that goes with it, so it goes without saying an outdoor Texan proposal was a perfect fit. Here’s what we knew…Beth has always wanted to marry a cowboy, LOVES Christmas and adores sunflowers, so we helped John tie all three loves together.
John took Beth on a romantic horseback ride. They both own horses but this horse trail was new to her. During their ride they “happened” to stumble across this beautiful, old barn. Earlier that day, John hung a welcome sign in front of this barn so it looked like a friendly place to explore. Now John knew the barn well, it belonged to one of his friends, but Beth was a little hesitant to just walk into some stranger’s barn. After some persuading, he convinced her to peek inside.
She was totally taken aback when she walked into the most romantic cowboy setting she’d ever seen! Christmas lights, country music, candles, sunflowers galore, and her favorite Texan dinner all set up inside!
Once John heard the song “Cowboy Take Me Away” start playing, he asked Beth to dance in the middle of the gorgeous setting. Just when the moment was right, in the middle of their dance, he got down on one knee and proposed!
