The Yes Girls got a chance to work on a very special proposal these past couple of weeks. My (Kendall) older brother, got engaged on Thursday, April 8th in Charleston, South Carolina. It was magical and all around special getting to work on a proposal for my own family member. Before we share all the details and the video of the fantastic proposal, I wanted to share with you a DIY project I did as a present to his fiance. I created a “She Said Yes” sign that hung on the back of a carriage and now will also be able to hang in her bedroom! Her and my brother can also use it for their engagement pictures. Heather and I started brainstorming ideas and this is what we came up with.

The Happy Couple!

It started with a blank 18×20 canvas and transformed into a springtime glow of all her favorite colors and some special homemade pieces. The flowers were made from fabric and I loved piecing together the patterns with the solids. A few staples and hot glue and we were ready to go! The Yes Girls are going to be creating more “She Said Yes” signs in many different designs and colors! Stay tuned for more signs. If you would like to have a sign created for a proposal, friend or engagement shoot email kendall@simplyuevents.com for all the details!

Love,
