Silver balloons and draping lights cover the room from ceiling to floor. Friends gather for a New Years party which will soon turn into Rachel and Josh’s very own engagement party, once the clock strikes twelve and she says “yes!” Imagine as they watch the Times Square ball drop on TV, they have their own sparkly New Years ball drop at the party. Then just when it hits midnight, Josh opens the ball and his future fiancee’s ring is inside! All their friends and family scream and it simultaneously becomes a surprise engagement party. Friends shuffle in photos of the couple from the past year and a cake that says “The perfect start to a new year!” New Years definitely became her favorite holiday last year. Perhaps it will become your girlfriends favorite this year?

If you plan on popping the question this New Years, put some creative thought into how you’ll present the ring. It’s getting down to the wire, but that doesn’t mean you can’t propose with style. When we found out Josh and Rachel LOVED watching the ball drop more than most people (they never missed it) that’s when we, The Yes Girls, realized the perfect way for him to propose and keep that surprise factor.
