Caleb was extremly nervous about his proposal. All of Amy’s friends were engaged or married and she was expecting something totally memorable.  We wanted to take the pressure off him and create the best proposal possible for Amy and Caleb. This idea incorporates his gift for graphic design, and her love for art, photography and gardening.

The Huntington Library and Gardens in Los Angeles is remarkable, so we immediately knew it was the perfect place for his proposal to all go down.  He got her best friend involved which was major points to Amy.  Her friend asked Amy to visit the Huntington Gardens with her one Friday. Little did she know Caleb would be awaiting her arrival. Just imagine walking through these breathtaking gardens, on your way to getting engaged…

Caleb set up five easels with beautiful, enlarged photos of him and Amy throughout the gardens. Each easel was adorned with gardenias and peonies, which of course are Amy’s favorite.  Since Caleb is a graphic designer, he transformed the photos into amazing pieces of artwork. As she passed each easel, one word (that described Amy) was written on each photograph. The photos eventually led her to Caleb who was waiting, in her favorite garden, next to the final art piece he created that completely captivated him and Amy’s relationship.  After she realized what was happening, Caleb was already on his knee with a little blue box. Needless to say, that art piece is now hanging in their new home. Simply amazing!

If you are currently looking at wedding venues or places to visit for an anniversary, The Huntington Gardens does allow events and the property is gorgeous. It’s definitely worth checking out.
