I can just feel summertime coming! This proposal story takes place in Cabo San Lucus, Mexico and it’s definitely one to write home about. Whitney has a clear love for the beach. It is the most significant place in her and Matt’s relationship, so we created a beach marriage proposal that was different, unexpected, and romantic.
These two love birds spent the day enjoying the sunshine in Cabo. Not to shabby, huh? Matt told Whitney he made reservations for dinner at their hotel that evening so she had a reason to shower and get dressed up. That evening while Whitney was getting ready, Matt said he was going down the hall to fill their ice bucket. Really he just needed an excuse to leave the room. Since Whitney is a words of affirmation girl, he left a short but sweet love letter on the bed, before he exited their room. At the end of the letter, he asked her to meet him downstairs when she was ready.
Their hotel was right on the water, so when she came running downstairs, a hotel concierge was waiting to escort her outside. Standing on the shore, was Matt in the distance. I know, very Bachelor tv show but it built her anticipation! When she got to Matt, there was a private dinner made for two, with a book and ipod player. Matt made a book filled with inside jokes, stories, photos, and different events over their last few years together. He even included letters from their mutual friends that brought the two together. As she looked through the book, her favorite Lady Antebellum song was playing on his ipod. What Whitney didn’t expect was a guitarist to come up from behind, and begin playing and serenading that same song playing on the ipod. Once the guitarist finished singing, Matt got down on one knee, and asked the love of his life to marry him!
The rest of their evening was spent eating dinner on the shore and celebrating their engagement! Don’t you just love…love?
