Who doesn’t love a good proposal story? The greatest stories are the true surprises. When an ordinary day becomes the best day of their life. That being said, when Matt and Jenna decided to go on one of their routine, evening walks she didn’t think twice about what she would find along the way. Pure romance was waiting for her as she discovered the sign “Matt and Jenna This Way —>.” Following the directions, they headed up a path that took her right into a “movie” scene proposal…literally. Father of The Bride is a movie Jenna cherishes for many reasons, therefore it was the perfect inspiration for Matt’s proposal.
She arrived to the Father of The Bride playing on a projector screen. She found blankets adorned with pillows, photos of her and Matt, creme brulee and other delightful goodies. Next to the blankets and pillows she found a small crate filled with significant items every girl remembers from the movie; there was a bridal bouquet just like Annie’s (the bride in the movie), a wedding planning book with quotes from Frank (the ridiculous and hilarious wedding coordinator), a basketball to signify good memories with her dad, and a pair of white sneakers which Annie’s wears for her wedding shoes. Tied to the shoelaces was a note to Jenna from Matt. He explained how he wanted Jenna to have her fairy-tale wedding, just like she dreamed of as she watched her favorite movie, but mostly, he just wanted to spend forever with her. With a diamond ring on her finger, they ditched their walk and watched Father of The Bride amongst comfy pillows in the park. Now that’s romance.
I’m going to take a wild guess and say Jenna did not expect to come across all that thoughtfulness during a typical evening walk! Brilliant! See you all tomorrow!
