Ever feel like planning a wedding is all about flower arrangements and processional music? Well you’re in luck because today is all about that near and dear thing we all love to call sports!
I, along with every other girl on the planet, have been day dreaming about my wedding since I was 5. I can remember the hot pink and polka-dot wedding I was going to have in second grade, the whimsical pale pink and purple wedding that was planned in high school and so on and so forth… but then I found this beautiful invention called “etsy.com”. I love searching for handmade items and memorabilia from my favorite teams! While I may not be getting married anytime soon, these new finds do give me ideas of what it may look like in a few years… maybe not as much pink and maybe a little more orange and black (my favorite baseball team happens to be the San Francisco Giants)!
The good news about this is I can report back and tell everyone- there is in fact a classy way to incorporate your favorite team into your wedding (in ways that your bride won’t scowl about too)!
First of all, how about some cufflinks made from a baseball used at an actual game? How cool are these!
You can also do a fun grooms cake like this one.
Another idea would be to take a picture holding baseballs that say “JUST MARRIED” or adapting the new fad of a “THANK YOU” picture (a picture taken of you and your bride holding a sign saying ‘Thank you’ that you use for your thank you notes for all those lovely gifts) and writing on baseballs!
So brides, there is a tasteful way to bring in your man’s favorite past-time on your special day.
