Mugs and Love

Mugs and Love

I‘m completely in awe with this adorable relationship. From the sweet comments Andrew said about his new fiancée, Lindsay, to the moment he popped the question is incredible. I just love this couple.  Lindsay’s dream is to own a coffee/book shop someday so what did Andrew do… gave her a sneak peak into that reality.

Andrew planned the proposal to a tee at their favorite coffee shop thanks to the store manager.  He left all his little proposal goodies for the manager to set up right before closing, so the cafe would be empty.

To start the day right, Andrew left a new novel (she reads a book weekly) and a cute new coffee mug on her nightstand to help start her collection for her book/coffee shop.  That evening they went to dinner and Andrew suggested they go grab a cup of coffee on the way home.  When they walked into their beloved local coffee shop they both ordered their usuals. Andrew called Lindsay over to look at the merchandise shelf.  There were four green mugs each with a handwritten romantic quote (ie. “She is everyones favorite person in the room”, “She is a dork but works it well”, etc.).  Lindsay at this point thinks the mugs are adorable but not certain if they are in fact about her.

Then the barista brought their beverages over. Lindsay’s coffee came in the 5th green mug, dated with the quote “She is Everything.”  Next thing she knew, Andrew was on his knee, opening the ring box, asking her to be his wife!

The barista snapped photos of him proposing and her crying, “Yes!”  The manager then came around the corner and congratulated the couple by handing Lindsay oleanders (her favorite flowers) that Andrew had dropped off earlier.  Talk about icing on the cake!

Andrew found the adorable green mugs at Target.  Have fun browsing!
