Joe and Christine got engaged in New York City but their engagement experience had the romantic charm of Paris. Joe came to The Yes Girls with a simple goal…make his marriage proposal to his lovely Christine one of the greatest moments in her life. After a little relationship intel, we had the perfect plan. Christine, a lover of museums, art shows, Paris, and hidden treasures at flea markets, was unexpectent when she walked outside to the NYC Rare View Rooftop to find a private area completely catered to her. She stepped into her own fairytale, a Parisian inspired flea market. Everything was intentional, down to the dinner plates, Paris clothes pins and oh yes…the private musician!

One can assume it didn’t take Christine long to recognize tonight was going to be…umm…special. They enjoyed personalized martinis, while listening to their favorite tunes played by the talented singer and guitarist, Corey. The Chrysler Building is a significant place in their relationship so it only made sense that they have a gorgeous view of the building from their private dinner table. Like I said, everything was intentional.

This might be one of my favorite parts. Joe ordered them grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner because it is Christine’s absolute favorite! Gotta love that! Prior to their arrival, we gave the restaurant “special plates” to serve their meal; therefore, when Christine finished her sandwich she found a meaningful quote on her plate. Christine has a promise ring from Joe which is engraved with their special saying,”Il mio cuore e tuo per sempre”. It means “my heart is yours forever.” What a fitting quote for a proposal, right? When Christine realized what was written on her Parisian dinner plate, Joe was ready, ring in hand, to ask for her forever.

Maybe it’s just us romantics, but that proposal warms my heart. Way to go Joe! Just in case any part was a blur from ecstatic-ness, Kate our fabulous hidden photographer, caught all the preeminent moments on camera. She was not only the photographer but a key component in the set up. Marriage proposals really are the best; I hope this proposal brightened your day!
