I absolutely adore this couple and their story! John and Carrie had quite the journey to their engagement. John proposed a few years back but at that time Carrie wasn’t quite ready. You’re thinking well that’s just a sad story, but after some time the two reunited and their relationship and love are stronger than ever. John teased Carrie that it was her turn to propose but little did he know she would actually do it. That’s where The Yes Girls came in and helped Carrie give John his surprise proposal.

The first time Carrie knew she loved John was on a ski lift, which for a guys guy like John, seemed right up his alley. During one of his visits, Carrie planned a quick ski trip to Mammoth Mountain. With prior arrangements made and perfect timing, on their ride up the chairlift, huge signs were riding down the lift creating a personal message to John. The message shared how Carrie knew she first loved him while riding on a ski lift and how much she loved him still today. So much that…

When they departed the chairlift he found two snowmen (a snowman and a snowwoman) holding stick hands and dressed in his and Carrie’s clothing! The snowwoman even had a fake diamond ring on it’s stick finger. Behind the snowmen was a huge sign that said, “It’s my turn…John, Will You Marry Me?” His favorite Van Halen song started blaring from the chairlift station and John whose typically a man of many words was speechless, a good speechless. Completely pumped he said “yes!” To make their engagement even cooler (no pun intended) their families were waiting at the ski lodge for a surprise engagement party.

Seriously, how awesome is that? Love, love, love it! Happy holidays!
