Today I’m switching things up a bit. My husband and I are getting ready to move mid-December (compliments of the Air Force) so in the mix of change and a new place, I am going to redesign my office! I’ve got to make the move fun even if the actual moving part isn’t hassle-free. That said, I’m in the middle of brainstorming new looks for my home office and these are some of the inspiring pieces I came across on Polyvore. I love pinning tons of ideas on Pinterest but it’s also fun to see what other design/fashion blogs have going on for truly fresh ideas. This time around I definitely want to hone in on The Yes Girls color scheme- gray, black, white with a touch of teal. For me personally, I find it helpful to start designing an event and/or space by finding at least one focal piece that I’m crazy about. I bought an old chandelier at a swap meet that I’ve been dying to hang but holding off until we moved. Now I’ll have the perfect pop of teal for my office after I finish spray painting it! The rest of my design decisions will be based off my inspiration piece, aka my teal chandelier.

I started The Yes Girls after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder because I loved the idea of helping guys propose in completely personalized & romantic ways. Thankfully I am blessed to have my husband, Kyle, who always supports my passionate personality, no matter how extreme my ideas may be! Years later, I’m still hooked.
