Ellen’s favorite love story is Carl & Ellie from Pixar’s UP! Barney knew he wanted to tap into that unique obsession with his Up themed proposal, but he also wanted to make sure that her favorite tv show, “Friends” was brought into the proposal too. We found this perfect, quaint gazebo in Burlingame, CA (just south of San Francisco and north of San Jose) and knew it was exactly what we wanted for the proposal venue. Hundreds of oversized balloons, vintage rentals, and a custom Adventure Book all decorated the space to honor the UP Theme. Then Barney bought a guitar and learned how to play the “Friends” Theme Song so after the couple looked through their Adventure Book (complete with photos from their travels, “Friends” quotes, and words of affirmation from Barney to Ellen) he grabbed his guitar and surprised her with the special song. After she said yes, her parents and best friend came out of hiding and surprised Ellen with her dog too! This is the perfect way to create an Up themed proposal for such a special couple!
