Since July is the wedding month for my boyfriend and I, we have six, I thought I would share my favorite type of gifts I have been giving. Because we have a lot of weddings I try to not spend too much, but be creative at the same time..
1. If I ever get some type of kitchen device from a registry I always love to pair it with a batter, sauce or some type of non-perishable food. For our wedding last weekend…which was beautiful will post pictures later, they had asked for a batter dispenser. I ventured to Williams Sonoma and found the batter dispenser, but I decided to pair it with a cinnamon graham cracker waffle and pancake batter. Secretly hoping they will have us over for breakfast, I thought it was a great pairing! Total: $42.00 and they wrap it for you for free!
2. I am all about buying anything with the initial of the couples new last name together. I think it adds a personal touch and makes their house their own! For the two weddings I went to in March and May I got both of them a hanging letter hook of their last name from none other than Anthropolgie! Then I like to get them two small dish towels or an apron to hang it on! How cute is this anniversary gift towel, listing all the gifts for the years to come. Total: $34.00 and they gift wrap also!
3. My last gift I love to give is one that is helpful if I am not super prepared, and by that I mean don’t get their gift until after the wedding. Especially when you are in the wedding you have other things on your mind. I usually wait a few weeks after they get back from their honeymoon and then I send them a date night package. I grab movie tickets from Costco and a gift certificate to one of their favorite restaurants. Sometimes the “stuff” you get at weddings can be overwhelming. I would rather send them out to enjoy a night together as a married couple! Total: $50.00 (depends on your budget and what restaurant you send them to)
Love,
