The Yes Girls planned this experience from start to finish, transforming the oceanfront lawn into a heartfelt, elegant proposal setting that spoke directly to this couple’s story. To honor their sweet family moment, we curated lush white rose floral arrangements and layered in custom décor elements that blended seamlessly with Maui’s natural beauty. Everything—from the arrangement layout to the musical ambiance—was purposely selected to create a serene yet meaningful environment for this life-changing question.
One of the most striking features of this setup was the bold MARry ME marquee letters, glowing softly against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. These towering letters anchored the entire design and brought an exciting sense of reveal as the family walked toward the space. Just beside them sat a beautifully designed m easel featuring a love letter written by him, adding a personal and emotional touch that made the moment feel even more intimate and thoughtful.
The Proposal
As the family approached the setup, the path led them to a gorgeous antique rug, intentionally chosen to create a warm, grounded moment within the open oceanfront space. It was here—on the rug surrounded by florals, marquee lights, and a live violinist playing softly—that he knelt down with their son and asked her to marry him. It was a moment filled with emotion, joy, and the kind of sweetness that only a family-centered proposal can bring.
Once she said yes (with happy tears, of course), they continued the celebration with engagement photos on the beach. Capturing the soft island colors, the waves rolling in behind them, and the glow of post-proposal excitement. The sunset cast a dreamy light over the shoreline.
