Day 4: Patience

Day 4: Patience

Day 4: Practicing Patience

Love Dare book

Purpose: Today’s love exercise is directly inspired from the book Love Dare. Chapter One challenges it’s readers to take a breath and practice patience, even when it feels impossible. The author gives the example, if s/he locks the keys in the car, respond with understanding rather than with a demeaning reaction (as they may expect you to).

Exercise: It’s simply said but not easily done. No matter what happens today or what your guy or gal does to frustrate you, resist the urge to react with negative commentary. Instead, use everything you have to be understanding and if you can’t say something positive, say nothing. It truly does make a world of difference in the conversation that follows. Lets give it a try for an entire day and see what happens.
