Snow Castle

Snow Castle

This proposal just makes my day. We had such a fun time letting our imaginations run wild with this idea. Nicholas’ proposal to Elizabeth combined fairy tale, Christmas, originality and true love all in one engagement. Get ready to be in awe!  What you need to know…Elizabeth loves loves loves Christmas and building sand castles.

Nicholas and Elizabeth were spending the holidays with her family in Lake Tahoe, so he knew it was the perfect opportunity to pop the question. To start their day off on a fun and active foot, literally, he planned for them to go snow shoeing. What Elizabeth didn’t know was somewhere along the path she would find a magical ending. First, she started to notice a few Christmas ornaments and cute picture frames hanging from pine trees.  It only took her a moment to notice the picture frames were filled with photos of Nicholas and her. Soon after, she snow shoed her way into a winter wonderland!

When they arrived at his proposal spot, Nicholas had decked out a few surrounding trees in Christmas ornaments and hanging lanterns filled with votive (battery) candles. In the middle of all the snow and lights was a big snow castle! He built a life size creation with simple castle-like features.  Once they walked into the snow castle he handed her a letter, listing all the reasons he wanted to marry her, and of course…proposed!

Congrats you two on your engagement! We, Simply U Proposals (aka the Yes Girls), are so delighted we got to be a small part of such a precious moment.  Christmas may have passed, but as for holiday proposals, we will continue to share the stories.
