Spa Day Gone Gorgeous Proposal

Spa Day Gone Gorgeous Proposal

We tried to think outside the box when it came to when and where Scott should propose. His girlfriend was expectant everywhere they went. Although it made it trickier, we found it very sweet because she was just so excited to be engaged. The proposal was inspired by what Alexis dreamed of… an intimate, relaxing, yet elegant proposal.  Scott transformed a tranquil setting into this stunning, intimate atmosphere.

Scott already scheduled a few spa treatments during a weekend getaway to the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island, and it was not likely she would expect him to propose during her spa time. Scott pretended to have a massage appointment at the same time as Alexis. After their massages, the employees left Scott and Alexis in a private room together for time to relax.

After a few minutes of chatting, hotel staff began rolling in carts full of her favorite things on silver platters. One cart was full of lilies, another cart with her favorite dinner items, the third with champagne and a cannoli. A second set of waiters came in with carts filled with pink hurricane, taper and votive candles, another with a camera and lastly, a ipod playing her favorite song “God Blessed the Broken Road.”

As each cart was rolled in one by one, the room was beautifully transformed. Alexis and Scott were surrounded with her favorite things! After the waiters left, he proposed and even had the ring brought to her on a silver platter for a little extra wow!
